Man, 43, Killed By Amtrak Train In Chatsworth Identified
A Granada Hills resident was struck by an Amtrak Train in a non-pedestrian area along Devonshire Street Wednesday night.
CHATSWORTH, CA — A 43-year-old man struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Chatsworth Wednesday was identified by police Thursday morning.
According to the coroner's office, Robert Obrikat, of Granada Hills died at the scene after he was struck by the train at about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday. It happened in a non-pedestrian area in the 21300 block of Devonshire Street, just north of the Chatsworth Station, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
There were no injuries reported to the 151 passengers or crew members aboard Amtrak Coast Starlight Train 11 traveling from Seattle to Los Angeles, according to Amtrak.
