A mattress fire in a single unit of an apartment in Chatsworth Wednesday was knocked down by firefighters in nine minutes and no injuries were reported.
About 20 firefighters were called to 10065 De Soto Ave., between Lassen and Devonshire streets, about 4:40 p.m., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire was caused by an overloaded electrical circuit, Scott said.
