Northridge Pool Reopens Monday Amid Heat Wave

After more than a year of closure, the Reseda Boulevard pool will join 25 other LA city pools in reopening.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — The Northridge Park Aquatic Center is one of 26 public pools reopening Monday in the city of Los Angeles, in anticipation of a weeklong triple-digit heat wave. This is good news for Northridge residents, who can expect triple-digit temperatures the entire week. Temperatures are expected to climb to 106 Tuesday and 108 Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The pool, which is located on the grounds of the Northridge Recreation Center near the intersection of Devonshire Street and Reseda Boulevard and has been closed throughout the pandemic, will be open from 2-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, although it will open at 10 a.m. starting June 21.

Admission costs $4 for adults, and $1 for children 17 and under, seniors, and people with disabilities, according to the pool’s website. Adults can pay $88 for 30 admissions, while youth can get an unlimited summer pass for $10. See more information here.
