The temperature was pushing beyond 103 degrees and shuffling feet were kicking up dust. Yet, hundreds turned out Saturday for the at Porter Ranch.

Hosted by the Chatworth/Porter Ranch Chamber of Commerce, admission to the grounds was free, but all-day activity and ride bracelets were on sale for the kids. There were booths, carnival games, rock climbing and bungee jumping, music, entertainment, food, balloon twisting and face painting.
