Pizzeria Marks 1-Year Anniversary With $5 Special In Northridge

Patrons can get cheese or pepperoni pizzas, with beverage, for $5 during a one-week celebration at Pizza Press on Balboa Boulevard.

NORTHRIDGE, CA —Pizza lovers in the San Fernando Valley should mark their calendars for "Customer Appreciation Days" coming up at The Pizza Press in Northridge.

To commemorate its first anniversary, the restaurant, at 8440 Balboa Blvd., is offering customers cheese or pepperoni pizzas and a free drink, for $5 from Dec. 17 to 22.

Orange County-based Pizza Press was launched in Anaheim in 2012, staking its claim to fame with an array of local craft beers on tap, a 1920s' newspaper theme and a "build-your-own" pizza concept as diners “publish” their custom pizzas, selecting from a variety of toppings, cheeses and sauces.

Signature pizzas at the chain also include: "The Times," with extra virgin olive oil, mozzarella, chicken, grape tomato, red onion, fresh cilantro and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce; "The Tribune," crafted with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, red onion, mushrooms, roasted red bell peppers, sweet Italian link sausage, olives and ricotta; and "The Chronicle, made with extra virgin olive oil, mozzarella, imported artichoke hearts, grape tomato, red onion, crimini mushrooms, roasted red bell peppers, fresh basil and basil pesto.

Other menu items include wings, salads and such desserts as cookies, ice cream sandwiches and root beer floats.

Pizza Press in Northridge is open Mondays through Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
