Chatsworth Neighborhood Council Preliminary Winners Announced
The Selection Committee released a preliminary list of winners that will be certified next Wednesday, but there may be a recount.
CHATSWORTH, CA — The Chatsworth Neighborhood Council announced the 11 preliminary winners of its 2021 selection. The final vote-by-mail ballots were tallied Thursday night, and the Selection Committee will meet on Wednesday to certify the vote.
A total of 236 ballots were cast, though one was voided. 11 members will serve two-year terms, while a twelfth, Geoffrey Williams will fill out the remaining year of a vacant seat. Williams is subject to a recount because he is separated from candidate Jett Dunlap by a single vote.

- Linda van der Valk, CNC incumbent, chair of Land Use Committee: 164 votes
- Georgia Altmayer, Neighborhood Watch coordinator, community volunteer: 153 votes
- Marianne King, retired city planner, community volunteer: 150 votes
- Jim Van Gundy, CNC incumbent, member of Chatsworth Coordinating Council, Santa Susana Mountain Park Association, Chatsworth Historical Society Treasurer: 149 votes
- Andre F. van der Valk, CNC vice president, co-president of Chatsworth Historical Society: 145 votes
- Jill Mather, community volunteer, founder of Volunteers Cleaning Communities: 143 votes
- Jeff Mackie, CNC incumbent, member of Outreach and Equestrian committees: 138 votes
- Nicolas Montaño, owner of Los Torros Mexican Restaurant, community volunteer: 133 votes
- Frank Geraty, retired broadcasting technician, community volunteer: 114 votes
- Robert Glucksman, community volunteer: 78 votes
- Geoffrey Williams, homeless advocate, community volunteer: 48 votes*
*Subject to recount against Jett Dunlap, a consultant and former Granada Hills NC member and outreach director
