Smart & Final Extra Opens Nov. 13 in Northridge

Five months after Patch reported a new tenant began remodeling the former site of an Albertsons in Northridge, Smart & Final Extra! is gearing up for a Nov. 13 opening.

Located at 18555 Devonshire St., the added "extra" in its name means more choices for customers than the typical Smart & Final store.

"Smart & Final Extra! stores are much larger than a typical Smart & Final warehouse store and full of extra features," according to the company's website. "The stores carry a greatly expanded selection of products in key categories like produce, fresh meat, frozen foods, dairy, deli and grocery basics like cereal, yogurt, bread and snacks."

Hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

The warehouse-style grocery chain has about 250 locations in the US and northern Mexico.
