Vegetation Fire Extinguished In Northridge
The LAFD put out a fire burning through ornamental vegetation that threatened nearby structures.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Firefighters extinguished a vegetation fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon in the 17600 block of West Raymer Street in Northridge.
The fire was reported just before 4 p.m., and spread into nearby ornamental vegetation, threatening nearby homes and structures, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. 28 LAFD firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in 30 minutes.
One empty building sustained minor damage, but no other structures were harmed, and no injuries were reported, the LAFD said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
