Victim ID'ed In Chatsworth Car Crash
The Los Angeles County coroner has released the name of the victim of a car crash that killed one and left another in critical condition.
CHATSWORTH, CA — Authorities have identified a man who was killed when his car crashed into a tree in Chatsworth.
The crash was reported just after 8 a.m. Monday in the 21600 block of West Marilla Street near Canoga Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Brandon Ibanez Arevalo, 23, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. His city of residence is unknown.

The survivor in the passenger seat was freed by fire firefighters and taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to the LAFD.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
