Woman Killed In Rollover Crash At 118/405 Interchange

The two-car collision also knocked out a power pole Thursday morning.

MISSION HILLS, CA — A woman died at a hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Mission Hills that left three others injured just after 7 a.m. Thursday, authorities said.

The driver of the vehicle she was in told police she was westbound on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway when she felt an impact while changing lanes toward the Sepulveda Boulevard offramp.

"That's when she began to lose control," said California Highway Patrol spokesperson Shanelle Gonzalez. "The car began to flip over."

The four-door vehicle ended up on the southbound transition to the San Diego (405) Freeway, Gonzalez said.

The two-car collision knocked out a power pole, Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The condition of the other three victims was not immediately released.

Officers continue to investigate the incident.

The fatal victim's identity was withheld pending notification of her family.
