Young Woman Killed In Northridge Crash Identified

Police are still investigating the cause of a single car crash that killed a 21-year-old passenger in Northridge Monday.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A woman killed in a fiery Northridge car crash was just 21-years-old, officials announced Tuesday.

Authorities identified a Paula Udiong, of Los Angeles, as the young woman killed early Monday morning when the car she was riding veered into a pole and burst into flames.

The crash occurred about 2:10 a.m. Monday in the 9900 block of White Oak Avenue, said Officer Greg Kraft of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Udiong died at the scene, according to the coroner's office.

The male driver and a male passenger were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Kraft said.
