Here are five things that you need to know about upcoming events this next week.

Oceanside Summer Camps Registration Open

Summer’s almost here and with it comes the time to register your kids for camp. The city's registration for summer camp is open online and at recreation centers. Camps begin June 13 and continue through Aug. 26 and cost between $60 and $150 per week. Day camps cost $35 per day. Visit the Beach Recreation Center at 300 N the Strand in Oceanside or visit the city website.

Mongolian BBQ and Cigar Social

Camp Pendleton will host Mongolian BBQ and cigar social at the Pacific Views South Mesa Club from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday. Participants will be able to choose from a selection of fresh vegetables and meats at just $.70 per ounce. The cigar smokers’ social portion of the event starts at 5:30 p.m. on Iron Mike's Patio.

Rye Barcott at Country Store

Rye Barcott, author of the book It Happened on the Way to War, will make an appearance at the Camp Pendleton Country Store from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

2011 Camp Pendleton Sand Soccer 6 V 6 Tournament

Del Mar beach will play host to the 2011 Camp Pendleton Sand Soccer 6 V 6 Tournament on Wednesday. The event is free open only to active duty Camp Pendleton military personnel. Each player is required to represent their unit for a chance to win points toward a Pendleton Cup title. Space is limited and the tournament is first come, first serve.  For more information, contact the base Athletic Department at 760-725-6195.

Parental Cyber Safety Class in Vista

Dave Hendron, a criminal investigator with the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, will lead a free discussion for parents to learn about cyber stalkers and bullies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the United Methodist Church of Vista. Hendron is currently assigned to the FBI in San Diego as a computer forensics investigator and has been working in high tech crimes for 17 years.
