Brown Honors Fallen Camp Pendleton Marine Sgt. Chad Frokjer, Killed in Afghanistan
The flags at the state Capitol were ordered to half-mast Thursday by Gov. Jerry Brown in honor of fallen Marine Sgt. Chad Frokjer, who was killed in Afghanistan on June 30.

Gov. Jerry Brown honored fallen Camp Pendleton Marine Sgt. Chad D. Frokjer on Thursday by ordering the flags at the state Capitol be flown at half-mast.
The governor and First Lady Anne Gust Brown also gave their condolences to Frokjer’s family and his friends, saying that he bravely gave his life in service to the state and the nation.
Frokjer’s family will also receive a letter of condolence from the governor.

The 27-year-old Maplewood, MN, resident , the DOD said.
Frokjer was with the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Pendleton.
