Camp Pendleton Making a Boom with Artillery Training
The Marine Corps base will be conducting artillery training this weekend, so expect loud explosions.
Oceanside residents may hear the sound of explosions for several days, beginning Saturday, due to artillery training at Camp Pendleton, a base representative announced today.
Marine artillery units are scheduled to conduct 24-hour live-fire training from Saturday morning through Tuesday night at the Marine base. The explosions can be heard as far as 50 miles away, the base announcement said.
