Camp Pendleton Marine With 1/5 Killed in Afghanistan
Lance Cpl. Jared C. Verbeek was killed in Helmand Province while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan.
Camp Pendleton Marine Lance Cpl. Jared C. Verbeek, 22, of Visalia, CA, died Tuesday from wounds received while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense.
Verbeek was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.
