City of Oceanside Launches Green App

The city of Oceanside today launched a mobile application for residents to learn about environmental programs and submit requests for services.

The Green Oceanside app, available now for Android devices, will provide environmental news, eco-friendly class and event listings and city social media posts.

Users can also upload photos that will be seen by city officials.

The app is expected to become available in Apple's iTunes store as soon as Tuesday.

The city also announced that its annual Earth Festival will be held Sunday. The downtown event will include demonstrations, crafts, music and sales of drought-tolerant plants.
