Congressional Art Competition Open To Oceanside HS Students

Oceanside high school students encouraged to enter the 2021 Congressional Art Competition.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The annual Congressional Art Competition happens each spring and Rep. Mike Levin is encouraging Oceanside high school students to participate.

The U.S. House of Representatives sponsors the Congressional Art Competition to honor talented young artists from across the country. The winning artist will receive a cash prize and the art will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

Young artists going to high school in California’s 49th Congressional District can submit original artwork to the 2021 Congressional Art Competition for a chance to win a cash prize and have their art displayed in the US Capitol for a full year! The deadline to submit artwork is Friday, April 23rd.

A panel of judges appointed by Rep. Levin’s office will select the first, second, and third place winners. We will award the first-place winner with $500, second place with $300 and third place with $100. We will also cite a Fan Favorite based on votes cast on my Facebook page.

Due to the public health guidelines limiting in-person contact because of Covid-19, this year’s competition is being held virtually.
