El Corazon Beach Sand, Homeless Shelter: Oceanside Council Agenda
The June 16th Oceanside City Council meeting agenda includes Council District Boundaries and "Medical Only" Cannabis Restriction Removal.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The Oceanside Council meeting on Wednesday, June 16 is a joint meeting of the Oceanside City Council, Oceanside Small Craft Harbor District Board of Directors, Oceanside Community Development Commission, and the Oceanside Public Financing Authority.
The meeting agenda includes a total of 44 items which is 18 more items than the May 5th meeting. Wednesday's meeting will cover topics ranging from a proclamation in Honor of Parks Make Life Better! Campaign 2021 to the approval of Interfaith Community Services as the City’s operator for a proposed homeless shelter.

Item #19: Approval of a Professional Services Agreement to assist with the process to update council district boundaries based upon the 2020 decennial census.

Item #29: Approval and adoption of the revised City of Oceanside Salary Schedule, retroactively effective April 4, 2021, and updated Executive Salary Schedule.
Item #33: Authorization to commit $3,500,000 in Inclusionary Housing In-Lieu Funds and 59 Project-Based Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers to National Community Renaissance and SanDiego Community Housing Corporation for an affordable housing development located on the west side of Greenbrier Drive, between Apple Street and Oceanside Boulevard, for homeless individuals and extremely low-income persons in response to the City’s call for proposals and Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA).
Item #34: Approval of Interfaith Community Services as the City’s operator for the proposed homeless shelter with wraparound services to be located at 3131 Oceanside Boulevard.
Item #41: Excavation and removal of sandy material from El Corazon to be placed on Oceanside beaches and to authorize the expenditure of up to $1 million from the beach sand funds towards the effort.
Item #44: Adopt an ordinance to remove the “medical only” restriction on all cannabis related facilities that the City currently allows.

Due to applicable Public Health and capacity restrictions, the City Council chambers are open to the public with a limited capacity. Members of the public have the option to watch the meeting on KOCT Cox Channel 19 (live streaming service available at http://www.koct.org/channel-19) or participate online via Zoom or attend in person. Members of the public who elect to attend in person are required to wear facial coverings in City facilities and maintain appropriate social distances.
