Explore Oceanside Breweries During American Craft Beer Week

OCEANSIDE, CA —Cheers to American Craft Beer Week! Did you know that San Diego County has more craft breweries than any county in the United States?

As of 2018, the county was home to 155 licensed craft breweries. Based on 2016 sales volume, three San Diego County breweries – Stone, Green Flash, and Karl Strauss – rank among the 50 largest craft brewers in the United States.

While San Diego County may have the bragging rights for the most breweries per county, the city that wins that is Portland, Maine. As the US city with the most breweries per capita, Portland, Maine is at the top of every beer lover's must-visit list

The number of operating craft breweries reached an all-time high in 2019, with over 8,275 craft breweries throughout the country. California had the most craft breweries of any state in the United States in 2019, by far. The state had 907 craft breweries in total, compared to 2nd and 3rd place Colorado and New York who had 425 and 423 craft breweries respectively.
