Fern is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet of The Week

She's a happy kitty.

Fern is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s an 8 month old, 6 pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat with a black and white coat.

Fern was found stray in an RV park in Riverside County. She was taken to a local shelter then transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program.

She gets along well with other cats, but seems to prefer when she gets attention from people.

She’s been in foster care with a trained volunteer. The foster care provider describes Fern as a playful, happy cat who enjoys playing with her toys.

The first couple of days she was a little shy, but then Fern opened up and began exploring her temporary home. She gets along well with all the members of the family, including three children.
