Foodie Friday Spotlight: Miss Kim's That Boy Good BBQ

OCEANSIDE, CA — This week's Foodie Friday spotlight goes to Miss Kim's by That Boy Good Southern BBQ Joint. Rated the best BBQ west of the Mississippi by Oceansider's.

TBQ serves up classic BBQ and Soul Food with popular dishes like Chicken and Waffles, a wide choice of sides, and a bar with cocktails & draft brews.

The owner, Mark Millwood always had a dream of opening his own restaurant, and after 25 years of being a professional Chef his hard work paid off. With the help of his wife Kim, and a lot of help from family and friends his dream came to life with the opening of That Boy Good.

Mark's recipes are a combination of his mom's cornbread combined with his Southern family's home cooking. His love for the South goes very deep and it shows with every meal he prepares. Kim is Mark's right-hand lady. Together with over 50 years combined experience in the Food and Beverage industry, they turned That Boy Good into an Oceanside success story.

That Boy Good launched their first location at 207 N Coast Hwy in downtown Oceanside, where it quickly became a local favorite.

The second location, TBG BBQ Counter, opened up inside of the Northern Pine Brewing building located at 326 N. Horne Street, Oceanside, CA.
