Memorial Weekend Things to Do in Oceanside

Avoid the Traffic and Enjoy Activities in and around Oceanside this Holiday Weekend.

It’s Memorial Weekend and the un-official start of summer. While many people will be traveling over the long weekend, those of us fortunate enough to live in the Oceanside area can choose from a variety of day, night, indoor and outdoor activities.

Memorial Day is dedicated as a day to honor our fallen heroes and those in active service to our country. Of course, being so close to Camp Pendleton, we get the privilege of honoring our heroes everyday! But, it’s still great to have the rest of the country join us for a day.

Here are some ideas for things to do this Memorial weekend that require little to no travel.

Of course, there is no better place to spend the day or evening then at the beach bbq-ing with friends and family. Luckily there are no shortage of great beaches in or near Oceanside. If you want to avoid the crowds at the downtown and harbor beaches try heading to South O and Buccaneer Beach and Park.
