No Injuries, but 14 Left Homeless by San Diego St. Blaze
Eight adults and six children were displaced by the blaze that destroyed an Oceanside home Friday afternoon.

A fire destroyed a single-story home at 704 San Diego Street Friday afternoon, according to a press release from the Oceanside Fire Department.
A caller reported the fire at 1:26 p.m., and firefighters arrived in three minutes to find Oceanside Police helping residents get out of the home -- no one was injured, but eight adults and six children were left homeless by the blaze, according to the release.
"The initial attacking firefighters found a well-involved fire in multiple bedrooms, extending down the hallway to the living room and kitchen areas," the release states.
Firefighters attacked the fire and cut holes in the roof to ventilate the fire and keep it from spreading to neighboring homes.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, but initial investigations seem to indicate it was accidental, the release states.
The Red Cross is helping the fire victims.
