Now!

We Can...

It’s Not Too Late

We’ll celebrate yesterday tomorrow.

C’mon now. Follow my drift. So, see, we have not today for it is a
lockdown sitch. We must sequester in a safe space and revel
not this day with others for it could mean our demise. OK, we say. seems
a fair price to pay. Alone time. We have our electronics. Communication
pathways abound.

Some will tweet whilst others will gram in an instant. There’s email and texting. And for diehard old-schoolers..the telephone. We’re not alone!
And yet, the feeling deep down in our bones says we are. All alone. So, let us be united in our aloneness. It is our time to rediscover the earth beneath our feet, bow in gratitude for the air we breathe and the sky above wrapping us in its splendor; listen to nature’s whispered reminders to cherish these gifts
we’ve so far taken for granted.

A soft breeze begs to be kept clean in order to survive. A crackling twig beneath our feet reminds us to nourish our crumbling foundation. Birds, butterflies, starving wildlife all appear within our vision to plead their case
for preservation. We hear the oceans choke, the forests weep.

Our souls implore that we stay quiet and listen to that which has nourished and protected us throughout time. The message is clear and needs no electronic pathway to have its say: It’s our time - high time - to nourish and protect, while we still can.

In a perfect world, both independently and united in cause...we will all do our best, earning the right, come nightfall, grateful for our pillows and cradled in a gentle universe, to lay down our bones and rest.

We have this day. Lockdown is not lockout. It’s not too late...til it is.
