Oceanside Brewing Company Anniversary Celebration - July 28

OBC invites the public to their 2-Year anniversary party on Saturday, July 28 from Noon-11pm

Owners Greg Distefano and Tomas Bryant have been waiting 18 years to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Oceanside Brewing Company. That's how long ago it was when Greg first purchased the name "Oceanside Brewing Company". But understanding that timing is everything they let the plans to open a brewery age and ferment for a long while, until the time was ripe. Greg and his partner Tomas started with home brewing until they perfected their craft and decided that both they and the local area were ready to tap.

This Saturday July 28 starting at noon, they invite the public to come celebrate their 2-year anniversary. According to their Facebook page, the event will include Live Music & New Art; plus some super sweet swag and you know we will have specialty beers all over the place! Including several Barrel aged treats. The event is free and open to the public. Alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages will be available for purchase.

We caught up with Greg last week to get the inside scoop on his brewing style and why it was important to be the Oceanside Brewing Company, their commitment to the community and more. Don't let the small, almost hidden front entrance fool you, OBC is well worth exploring. With 22 original beers on tap, which Greg claims is more than any other brewery in the area, there are lots of different styles and tastes to choose from ranging from Cali style fruity, honey beers to Old German style trippel bock to many unique IPA's and so much more. OBC has a great atmosphere with a big kid and dog-friendly patio area where you can watch the sky divers at the nearby Oceanside airport.

Greg summed it up this way, "Our goal is to combine the history and creation of the many different styles of Ales and Lagers, while celebrating the uniqueness and history of Oceanside, California." You can watch the entire interview with Greg in the video link below.
