Oceanside Hosts World of Water Celebration

Public is invited to water-themed fun and learning event

Join the City of Oceanside on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to experience Oceanside’s World of Water. This FREE, fun-filled, water-themed event will take place at the San Luis Rey Water Reclamation Facility, 3950 North River Road in Oceanside.

Celebrate World Water Day by traveling through many activities to learn how the City of Oceanside works to provide its customers the world’s most precious resource – WATER!

Oceanside’s World of Water celebration offers water-themed fun and educational activities for people of all ages. Guests can learn about a new source of water coming to the city, called Pure Water Oceanside and tour the San Luis Rey Water Reclamation Facility. Activities include planting a drought tolerant succulent to take home, participating in a hands-on water experiment, creating an arts and crafts project, and learning about water and water reuse and more.

Pure Water Oceanside will purify recycled water to create a new, local source of high-quality drinking water for Oceanside that is clean, safe, drought-proof and environmentally sound. Pure Water Oceanside will produce enough water to provide more than 30 percent of Oceanside’s water supply.
