A 22-year-old man was jailed and will be charged with battery on a peace officer after he kicked an Oceanside police officer, according to a U-T San Diego reoport.
Officers responded to a report of someone throwing rocks in a resident's back yard Saturday night, according to the newspaper.
When an officer questioned the suspect, he "kicked the officer hard in the shin and wrestled with him briefly before giving up," according to the newspaper.
