Oceanside Receives 'F' on Heal the Bay Report Card
The San Luis Rey river outlet tested for high levels of bacteria, according to the water quality report.
According to a report released on Wednesday by environmental group Heal the Bay, the San Luis Rey River outlet tested low for water quality. The group gave Oceanside an F-grade on its 2010-2011 annual beach report card for having high levels of bacteria in that estuary.
Testing for the report card at the San Luis Rey River estuary was done during the dry season. During portions of the wet season, the estuary received a grade of A+.
