Oceanside's Holder Twins Pick Their College Football Destinations

The twins both received scholarship offers from the following schools: Arizona, BYU, Idaho, Nevada, San Diego State, San Jose State, Stanford and Washington State.

Alijah and Mikah Holder, the twin brothers who helped the Oceanside Pirates team reach the CIF playoffs, have made their decisions on where they will play college football.

Alijah announced on June 22 that he will attend Stanford University in the Fall of 2014, and will play football for the Cardinal. The three-star rated safety also had scholarship offers from various other schools in the West, including Arizona, BYU, Idaho, Nevada, San Diego State, San Jose State and Washington State.

"I had a great visit at the Stanford camp," Holder told ESPN.com's Erik McKinney. "I liked what I saw, what was going on and the coaches."

Two days later, Mikah announced his intentions to suit up for the San Diego State Aztecs in the Fall of 2014.

Mikah, a wide receiver and defensive back, will join his older brother, King, on the Aztecs. Mikah caught 42 passes for more than 800 yards and 11 TDs last year for the Pirates. His scholarship offers were the same as Alijah's.

“Hopefully, they have one more great season together with us, then college football will break the brothers up,” Pirates head coach John Carroll told U-T San Diego.

The Holder twins are the 2nd and 3rd members of the Class of 2014 to commit to a school, following Jace Whitaker, who committed to the University of Arizona in late June as well.
