Pacific Street Bridge to be Renamed in Honor of Slain Officer

The Pacific Street Bridge will be renamed to honor an officer who died at just 25, according to a U-T San Diego report.

The bridge will be named the Dan Bessant Memorial Bridge, according to the newspaper.

Bessant was fatally shot in 2006 by gang members.
