Pelican On Oceanside Pier: Photo Of The Day

OCEANSIDE, CA — Patch reader Cherie Celeste captured this photo of a pelican on the Oceanside Pier.

"I call this 'If a peli-can, so can I,'" Celeste said.

"I love how he patiently awaits the prize on the hook just above his 'Bird May Bite' warning sign. It's as if he knows that spot gives him a bubble of protection, something we've all come to know through COVID."
