The Pentagon today named a 19-year-old Camp Pendleton- based Marine killed in combat in Afghanistan this week. Lance Cpl. Matthew R. Rodriguez of Fairhaven, Mass., died in Helmand Province on Wednesday, according to the Department of Defense. Rodriguez was a member of the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.-- City News Service
