Names Released in Apparent Oceanside Murder-Suicide
In a residence near the back gate of Camp Pendleton, police found a handgun and a note indicating that a man killed his wife and then himself. The bodies went undiscovered for about a week, according to police.
Oceanside police have released the names of a married couple involved in an apparent murder-suicide at a residence near Camp Pendleton's San Luis Rey gate. The man has been identified as Tyrone Knight, 53, and the woman as Vanessa Knight, 46.
Oceanside police discovered the bodies on Monday, according to a department press release, after responding to a call from neighbors who reported the couple had not been seen in about a week.
The couple’s decomposing bodies were found in separate rooms of a residence located in the 5100 block of North River Road. Also found on the scene was a handgun and a note dated June 24, which read that the husband had killed his wife and then himself, according to police.
