Power Restored to 3,200 in Camp Pendleton, Oceanside; Overhead Power Lines Blamed

A problem with overhead power lines may have caused a power outage in Oceanside Tuesday evening.

Some 3,200 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in and around Oceanside were without power Tuesday, City News Service reported. The outage happened at about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday and affected homes and businesses in Oceanside, San Luis Rey, Ocean Hills and southeast Camp Pendleton, SDG&E reported on its website.

A problem with overhead power lines was suspected, according to City News Service. The utility restored power to all areas by 6 a.m.
