Wounded Warriors Regiment

As you may know, we launched the site early Tuesday morning with a feature video about Marines at the Camp Pendleton Wounded Warrior Regiment. Sgt. David McCreary and Lance Cpl. Camilo Rojas shared their experiences in Afghanistan and with the medical process after returning wounded from war.

Military Moms Talk

Military Moms Talk columnist Laura Crawford shared her parenting expertise as a Marine Corps spouse of 10 years, reflecting on the ways military children should be recognized. “Unlike us,” Laura wrote. “They don’t choose this life. We choose it for them.

Local Voices

Camp Pendleton Patch is looking for a few good bloggers. We launched a new blogging platform that you can use to speak with the rest of the community. Whether you are a teen who wants to write about your school, your hobbies or passions, a military dependent who wants to write about a parent or spouse's deployment, a transplant getting to know the area, a senior citizen who knows local politics, a hardware store owner with an ax to sell (or grind), a single mom or dad, a shopaholic—we’re looking for you to add your voice to Local Voices, the new blogging feature recently added to Patch. 

Woman Suspected of Conning Pendleton Families Out of Cash

Oceanside police are still on the lookout for a woman who is suspected of conning several military families out of their money by using fake payroll checks. Police can still use your help to identify the suspect.

High School's MCJROTC

In this feature video, Patch interviewed instructors and cadets of the El Camino High School Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program, which is designed to teach cadets leadership and citizenship, according to senior Marine instructor and retired 1st Sgt. Gene LaRue.
