VIDEO: Camp Pendleton Marines Celebrate Life of Lance Cpl. Carlos Segovia Lopez

CAMP PENDLETON, CA — In this video released by Camp Pendleton, Marines at the School of Infantry — West celebrate the life of Lance Cpl. Carlos Segovia-Lopez, 19.

Segovia-Lopez was stationed at Camp Pendleton and was on weekend leave, visiting family in south Los Angeles, when he was shot while sitting in his car Friday.

Gravely wounded, he was on life support until his death on Monday, Sept. 19.

Los Angeles police said Segovia-Lopez had no gang connections, and it unclear why he was shot. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the LAPD.
