3 Die In Fiery Anaheim Crash, Suspected Hit-And-Run Driver Found
Three people died in a fatal collision in Anaheim at Brookhurst Street & Orange Avenue, and at least two women fled the scene early Tuesday.
ANAHEIM, CA — Three men died in a fiery crash in Anaheim on Brookhurst Street and Orange Avenue early Tuesday morning, Anaheim Police reported. A white Mercedes struck a black Kia sedan with three people inside at a high rate of speed, killing all of them at the scene, Sgt. Shane Carringer of Anaheim Police Department said.
A witness saw at least two women flee the white Mercedes after the crash, according to media reports. Later, two women in their 20s were discovered at an area hospital, according to Carringer. Police believed one to be the driver, he says. No arrests have yet been made. However, an investigation is ongoing.
"There was no indication that the crash involved street racing," Carringer said. Still, the Mercedes was believed to be speeding when it crashed into the Kia.
