Anaheim Restaurants Selected for Illumination Foundation Event

Lineup for fundraiser on June 27 includes The Parkestry Rooftop Bar Restaurant, THE RANCH Restaurant and Saloon, and Strong Water Anaheim.

Three popular Anaheim eateries have been selected to showcase the culinary talents of their talented chefs at the eighth edition of the annual “Elite Gala of Orange County” Chef’s Table fundraiser presented by nonprofit Illumination Foundation - https://www.ifhomeless.org – of Orange.

Set for Sunday, June 27, 2021, the event is moving from the iconic Disneyland® Hotel to be held outdoors at the private San Juan Capistrano estate of Marc Carlson and Jacqueline DuPont-Carlson in keeping with COVID-19 safety protocols.

The estate’s two and a half meandering acres will provide a picturesque outdoor backdrop for a kitchen full of renowned local chefs to bring their extensive culinary chops to life, much to the delighted senses of guests.

The lineup of eclectic Anaheim restaurants includes The Parkestry Rooftop Bar Restaurant located on the top floor of the JW Marriott Anaheim, THE RANCH Restaurant and Saloon, an award-winning upscale fine dining and country music establishment; and Strong Water Anaheim, a tropical hideaway.

Known for creating menus that journey between classic dishes and elevated interpretations of global fare, Chef Raul Garcia at THE RANCH, will lend his considerable skills to making Georges Bank sea scallops, Edwards Ranch Estates heirloom tomatoes, fava beans, and Nicoise olives.

JW Marriott Anaheim’s Executive Chef Amol Agarwal brings more than 23 years of global culinary experience to the event as he plans to tempt guests with Burrata Mousse with tomato jam and live migajas.

Tia Baker, executive chef at Strong Water, plans to infuse her passion and skills with fusion cuisine when she serves up her Seven Seas Ceviche.

This year’s event will also feature the skills of world-class chef Amar Santana of Vaca, Broadway and The Hall Global Eatery at South Coast Plaza, an auction and plenty of surprises.

Jacqueline DuPont-Carlson and Karen Jordan are the event’s co-chairs.

Proceeds from the evening will support the nonprofit’s targeted, interdisciplinary services designed to disrupt the cycle of homelessness in Southern California, including the Plumeria House Family Emergency Shelter, which is being updated to accommodate homeless children with chronic illnesses or physical disabilities and their families.

“We are delighted to have such a stellar lineup of culinary experts at our in-person spectacular evening under the stars for our supporters and look forward to a night of good food, good cheer, and mostly importantly, raising funds for a good cause,” said Illumination Foundation CEO Paul Leon.
