Angels PR Director Heads To National Baseball Hall of Fame

Tim Mead has long been with the Angels organization and now will head the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

ANAHEIM, CA — The Los Angeles Angels longtime Public Relations executive will hang up his halo and head to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, it was announced Tuesday.

Tim Mead has served as the team's vice president of communications for 40 seasons.

"We congratulate Tim Mead on the announcement that he has accepted a position as president of the National Baseball Hall of Fame," Angels owner Arte Moreno said. "Since joining the Angels in 1980, Tim's love of the game, his dedication to our organization, along with his extraordinary work ethic, have been invaluable to the Angels. He is the perfect fit to represent the Hall of Fame's rich history and bright future; we wish him all of the best, and look forward to his continued success."

Mead started with the team as an intern in the public relations department in 1980 and ascended to director of the media relations department five years later.
In 1994, Mead was the team's assistant general manager under General Manager Bill Bavasi.

He returned to media relations in 1997 and remained there for the next 22 years.
