Art & Creativity for Healing Fundraising Success
Art & Creativity for Healing Nets $50K During A Monte Carlo Casino Night at AV Irvine
Art & Creativity for Healing’s theme for their 19th annual fundraiser was A Monte Carlo Casino Night held on Saturday, October 12 at AV Irvine. Enjoyed by 275 guests, net proceeds of $50K will support the nonprofit’s emotional healing programs through art and creative expression for those living in pain, grief, fear or stress.
Art4Healing® workshops are provided at no cost to over 40 Southern California-based Nonprofit Partner Agencies dedicated to homelessness, domestic violence survivors, human trafficking victims, active military personnel and their families, veterans, seniors and children and teens struggling with abuse, illness, grief, and stress.
Art & Creativity for Healing’s Founder/Director Laurie Zagon said, “The evening was a huge success for us since over 60% of the guests were new to Art & Creativity for Healing. Everyone really enjoyed learning more about our nonprofit by viewing an exciting new video produced and directed by Aaron Inman Films of Los Angeles. The true success are all the new friends made!”

The evening’s fund-a-need supported each of Art & Creativity for Healing five major programs. One generous attendee donated $250 for every military member (active and retired) in attendance towards their military program which alone brought in $6000.
A live auction featured a French Riviera experience at the Fairmont Monte Carlo, a one-week stay in Laguna Beach, Las Vegas get-a-way, Dodger Stadium luxury suite, Arnold Palmer Invitational golf experience, Temecula weekend get-a-way and art work painted live that evening by artist Jesse Pierpoint. The program and auction was followed by music and dancing with DJ Andy Nation.
Community leaders Michelle Moreno and Sue Stinson were event co-chairs and Suzanne Krainock served as the auctioneer.
