Average Orange County Gas Price Continues To Drop

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County fell for the 39th consecutive day on Friday.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA -- Gas prices in the OC continue to fall.

The average price in the county dropped for the 39th consecutive day on Friday, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.613, its lowest amount since Aug. 31, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The price has dropped 47.5 cents during the streak, including a half-cent Thursday. The Orange County average price is 7.8 cents less than one week ago, and 39.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 23.5 cents more than one year ago.

In Los Angeles County, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline on Friday dropped for the 38th consecutive day, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.694, its lowest amount since Sept. 17, according to AAA and the OPIS.

LA County's average price has dropped 43.5 cents during the streak, including 1 cent Thursday, according to data. It is 7.5 cents less than one week ago and 36.9 cents lower than a month ago, but 25.7 cents more than a year ago.
