Fortunately, the coronavirus has only changed — not completely closed — your favorite pumpkin patch and its offerings this fall.

You may be picking your pumpkin up at the local grocery store, but if you want that true fall experience, there are some places you can still go even amid coronavirus social distancing regulations.

Virtual Pumpkin Patch Delivery

This year, with the closure of Pumpkin City, order virtual pumpkin deliveries from the owners of that franchise.

Owner Luke Derentz told Patch it was a difficult decision to go virtual during coronavirus pandemic, but necessary.

"Orange County has provided for my family through tough times, and I’ve been able to witness the smiles traditions bring to families, and I want to keep that going," Derentz said. "We are going to be giving 50% of our net profits away as grocery store gift cards to people in need this year."
