Anaheim Cops Talk Down Jumper After 11 Hour Freeway Closure
Police say the man came down peacefully after negotiators worked with him over stopped freeway traffic for the majority of Wednesday.
ANAHEIM, CA — After an 11-hour negotiation, Anaheim police successfully talked down a man threatening to jump off an overpass onto the 5 Freeway.
The man worked his way around the pedestrian fence about 3 a.m. Wednesday Sgt. Shane Carringer says.
California Highway Patrol closed both directions of the 5 Freeway at 3:3o a.m.

As of 1:45, CHP cleared traffic on the southbound 5 Freeway to travel as officials saw a good outcome on the day, according to CHP.
Anaheim Police worked for almost 12 hours to talk the jumper safely down.
