Diamond Bar Women's Soccer Player Commits To Cal State Fullerton

Student-athletes gathered with their families, coaches and staff to celebrate launching the next phase of their lives with intent letters.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Diamond Bar High parents, athletes, and family members who have spent countless hours honing their craft in school teams, sports clubs, and private training celebrated the pay-off of all the hard work on Wednesday.

Five seniors made commitments to play their sports at the collegiate level during a signing day ceremony attended by an enthusiastic group of families, coaches, friends, and staff members.

Jaida Wilson, who was named Rookie of the Year, will be headed to California State University, Fullerton.

"I believe Cal State Fullerton offers me a great opportunity to excel academically and grow as an athlete,” she said.

Star running back Jeremiah Chukwudobe will be taking his talents to University of California, Davis next fall.

With dreams of playing in the NFL, Chukwudobe, nicknamed “Shifty” by teammates for his quick feet on the field has averaged 108 rushing yards per game and scored 9 touchdowns.

Another top Brahma athlete, swimmer Dylan Hou who specializes in the 500 Free and 100 Breast events, will attend Pomona College.

The ceremony also spotlighted three elite soccer players that have realized their collegiate dreams.

Forward Olivia Valdivia will be going to University of North Dakota.
