Disneyland Vaccination POD Closes For Wind: Appointment Changes

Santa Ana winds led to a closure of the Anaheim Disneyland Point of Dispensing site Wednesday: What to do if you had an appointment.

ANAHEIM, CA — Strong Santa Ana winds have led to the closure of Anaheim's Disneyland coronavirus vaccination Super Point of Dispensing location Wednesday, officials say.

This is not the first time the weather has been a factor in keeping this newly-transformed drive-thru facility open. Both wind and rain have played a part in the closure of the Disneyland Super POD since it first opened, according to Orange County Health Care Agency.

"Please know that our Disneyland drive-thru #OCCOVID19 vaccination POD site is closing effective immediately due to wind," OC Health Care officials reported over Twitter.

Wednesday's appointments are being diverted to the #Anaheim Convention Center, and no other county-run dispensing sites are affected.

"If you had an appointment today at our Disneyland POD site because you require ADA access, please call our #OCCOVID19 Hotline at (714) 834-2000 to reschedule at Disneyland for another day," they reported over Twitter.
