Freight Train Strikes, Kills Anaheim Man

YORBA LINDA, CA — Authorities Sunday continued the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 46-year-old man struck and killed by a BNSF freight train in Yorba Linda.

The pedestrian was struck in the area of Esparanza Road and Imperial Highway at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Qun He, a resident of Anaheim, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Orange County coroner's office.

It was not immediately known what the victim was doing on the tracks.
