Gunshot Victim Refuses To Cooperate With Police

A man was found suffering from a gunshot would outside a Santa ana restaurant Sunday, but he refused to tell police what happened.

SANTA ANA, CA — A man was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a Santa Ana restaurant but refused to tell police what happened, authorities said Monday.

An employee found the wounded man in the parking lot of the Cozy Corner Drive In restaurant in the 400 block of North Harbor Boulevard and called paramedics, who in turn called police at 10:46 p.m. Sunday, said Santa Ana police Commander A. Alvarez.

The man had a gunshot wound in his upper body and paramedics took him to a hospital, where he was expected to survive, Alvarez said.

The man refused to cooperate with officers who tried to get details about who shot the man, where he was shot and why, the commander said.
