Homicide Suspect Sought In Anaheim, Considered Armed & Dangerous

ANAHEIM, CA — Anaheim police are seeking a suspect in a gang-related homicide early Monday morning, according to official reports.

A suspect, identified by Anaheim Police as 39-year-old Anaheim resident Fernando Garcia, is being sought after police discovered a man suffering a life-ending gunshot wound Sunday.

No arrests have been made as of Monday morning, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer.

As of Monday morning, there are no school lockdowns related to the search.

On Sunday at 7 p.m., Anaheim police responded to the 200 block of E. Clifton Street to investigate a report of a shooting and found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Carringer said.

The victim died at the scene and his name has yet to be released, pending notification of next of kin.

"Homicide detectives were called to investigate the incident, and the suspect in the shooting was identified as Garcia," Carringer said. "Garcia has not been located and is considered armed and dangerous."
