Man Gets 75 To Life for Santa Ana Sex Assaults On 2 Young Girls

The man was convicted in February 2020.

SANTA ANA (CNS) - A man was sentenced Friday to 75 years to life in prison for sexually assaulting two girls related to his live-in girlfriend in Santa Ana.

Hector Rojas Medina, 47, was convicted in February 2020 of two counts of lewd acts with a minor younger than 14 and two counts of sexual intercourse with a child 10 years or younger, all felonies.

One of the girls was 12 years old and the other was 9, according to court records. One of them told a teacher about the abuse in September 2017.

Medina was living in a converted garage with his girlfriend, who was looking after the victims because their parents sent them to escape gang violence in their community in Mexico, according to court records.
