OC City Named 3rd Fastest Growing In California

Irvine has seen a 33.3 percent increase in growth since 2010, according to a new report.

IRVINE, CA — It's no secret that Irvine is booming and growing. Nearly everywhere you look, construction is in sight, with homes, businesses and commercial buildings popping up. And now, a new report says Irvine is the third fastest growing city in California.

The website HomeSnacks just ranked the 10 fastest growing cities in the Golden State. The website, which professionally ranks cities, counties, and states using various data, said it crunched numbers from the new American Community Survey census data and calculated growth since 2010 for each place in California.

In the end, the Bay Area city of Dublin came in at number one on the list. Irvine was number three, thanks to the following stats:

  • Population in 2010: 199,117
  • Percent Growth 33.3%
  • Absolute Growth: 66,385
